All right, I admit it: I am a sucker for a good map. Perhaps it is because I've actually taught land navigation with map and compass, but there is something about a map that makes an imaginary world come to life like nothing else. Perhaps that is why so many fantasy authors put a map of the world in which their story occurs in their books!
