Ionian Games pride themselves on a combination of interesting story, flexibility to suit individual needs and a solid grounding in hard facts. The company was founded by Matthew Webster but is now out of business. I think they were based in New Jersey, USA.
Their first (and only) product was the Xro-Din Chronicles, a 'hard' science-fiction game.
