Launched in August 2013 by Pelgrane Press, 13th Age combines the best parts of traditional d20-rolling fantasy gaming with new story-focused rules, designed so you can run the kind of game you most want to play with your group. It was created by two D&D stalwarts, Rob Heinsoo and Jonathan Tweet. Characters are unique with backgrounds that determine their skills, and each contributes to the creation of the background of the world in which they live, while the system is designed to empower quick adventure development based on character backgrounds and goals.
